The win was worth a cool $4 million to the now 45-year-old.

It was Garcia’s second LIV Golf title.

He shot 7-under 63 in the final round to beat Stinger GC’s Dean Burmester by three shots.

On the team side, it was Garcia’s Fireballs GC who claimed the $3 million ($750 000 each) prize for the second straight event.

Fireballs GC finished at 37-under as a team, topping Stinger GC by one shot.

Big pay day

Meanwhile, it was a lucrative 54 holes for the all-South African Stinger GC team.

After a couple of mediocre events to start the 2025 series, they bounced back in Hong Kong.

Dean Burmester pocketed $2.25 million (R41 million) for his second-place finish on 15-under par.

Louis Oosthuizen, Branden Grace and Charl Schwartzel all finished on 7-under par in a tie for 20th place which earned then $202 500 (R3.7 million) each.

But that’s not all!

Thanks to their second-place finish in the team event, the quartet won an additional $1.5 million ($375 000 each) which, in rand terms, amounts to R6.9 million.
