Entry date and fees for 2025 Two Oceans Marathon confirmed
Two Oceans Marathon organisers have announced the opening date for entries for next year’s race – as well as what it will cost you to enter.
Two Oceans Marathon organisers have announced that local entries for the 2025 edition of the race will open on Monday, 30 September at 13:00.
Next year’s race mark the 54th edition of the Two Oceans Marathon, with ‘the world’s most beautiful marathon’, set to take place on 5 and 6 April 2025 (Ultra and Half Marathon respectively).
Two Oceans Marathon will take place before Easter
The Two Oceans Marathon for several decades took place on the Easter long weekend, before moving to the weekend after – or a fortnight later – in recent years.
However, the 2025 race will take place two weeks BEFORE Easter, with Easter Sunday scheduled for 20 April.
Gerda Steyn is the reigning women’s Two Oceans Marathon champion, while Onalenna Khonkhobe, also from South Africa, won this year’s race.
Africa’s best loved road race attracts more than 3 000 international runners annually and is widely referred to as a stellar ‘bucket list’ running event the world over.

South African Half and Ultra Marathon entries will go into a draw
Once again, the entry process for South African runners will be via a draw or ‘lottery’ system.
Runners wishing to enter will go into a draw or ‘lottery’ and will be allocated an entry once their name is drawn.
Entrants will receive confirmation of their entry once they have paid for it, subject to meeting qualifier and any other criteria as stipulated, by the relevant deadlines.
Runners may go into the draw for only one event.
