Breaking: Proteas QUALIFY the ICC Champions Trophy semi-finals
Having finished top of Group B, the Proteas will face either India or New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy semi-final.

The Proteas have qualified for the ICC Champions Trophy after beating England by seven wickets at the National Bank Stadium in Pakistan on Saturday.
Coming into the game, South Africa needed to avoid losing to the 2019 Cricket World Cup champions by a big margin. Batting second, all that was needed was to limit England to under 200 to reach the semis.
The Three Lions were bowled out for a mere 179, leaving the Proteas with 180 for victory. This is the first time South Africa reaches the semi-finals of the competition since 2002. Having won the inaugural ICC Champions Trophy in 1998, the Proteas reached the semis in the next two editions but lost to India on both occasions.
Proteas finish top in the ICC Champions Trophy group
Having finished top of Group B, South Africa could face India yet again in the semis. New Zealand are the other team that the Proteas can face in the semi-finals. The Kiwis play India in the final match of Group A on Sunday knowing a win could see them face rivals Australia in the semis.
