Fast bowler Gerald Coetzee was bought by the Mumbai Indians for $602 000 (R11.1 million), while batsman Tristan Stubbs was snapped up by the Delhi Capitals for $60 000 (R1.1 million).
Late in the auction, batsman Rilee Rossouw was signed by the Punjab Kings for $936 900 (R17.2 million).
Finally, speedster Nandre Burger was sold to the Rajasthan Royals for $60 000 (R1.1 million).

Those were the only four South Africans bought at auction.
South Africans who didn’t find a buyer included Tabraiz Shamsi and Rassie van der Dussen.

Meanwhile, Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc smashed the all-time IPL record when he was snapped up by the Kolkata Knight Riders for $2.98 million (R54.6 million).
