Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis, along with Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security Alderman JP Smith, Deputy Minister of Sport, Arts & Culture Nocawe Mafu, Cultural Affairs and Sport MEC Anroux Marais and Cricket South Africa (CSA) representatives congratulated the team on their incredible run in the international cricket tournament.

The final between the Proteas Women and Australia at Newlands last Sunday attracted the biggest crowd ever for a women’s match in South Africa with a reported 13 001 spectators.
