‘His vision for Africa is clear,’ EFF Zimbabwe hails Julius Malema on his birthday

EFF Zimbabwe has joined supporters and party members across the continent in celebrating Julius Malema’s 44th birthday on 3 March.

The leader and founder of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) is being honoured for his contributions to the political landscape.

EFF Zimbabwe’s Tribute to Malema

In an interview with The South African, EFF Zimbabwe leader Innocent Ndibali praised Malema for his unwavering commitment to economic justice and African unity.

“We would like to wish a Happy Revolutionary Birthday to Commander-in-Chief Julius Malema,” he said. “Today, 03 March, marks a special day for the EFF family as we celebrate our leader’s birthday. We are honouring Malema’s inspiring leadership and tireless efforts to promote economic freedom and empowerment for all Africans. His vision for a united Africa and economic freedom has ignited a revolutionary spirit across the continent. Viva EFF, viva!”

The party’s Zimbabwe branch commended Malema’s fearless leadership and dedication to the fight against inequality, colonial legacies, and economic oppression.

Understanding EFF Zimbabwe

EFF Zimbabwe formed in 2016 and has contested two national general elections. It continues to build its structures across Zimbabwe. In 2021, it held its first conference, where members elected Innocent Nibali as the leader. EFF Zimbabwe is part of a network of EFF chapters across Africa, with more than 15 chapters on the continent.

“Our vision is not different from South Africa’s. We are one and our vision is clear,” Nibali said. He added that at EFF they want a borderless and integrated Africa, with a single military and bank for the continent. He said they believe no African is a foreigner anywhere in Africa and want to see Africans travel freely.

A Political Journey Marked by Resilience

Malema’s political career has been one of resilience and defiance. He rose to prominence as the president of the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL). After his expulsion from the ANC, he founded the EFF in 2013.

His influence extends beyond South Africa, with many young political activists across the continent viewing him as a champion of pan-African ideals. Malema has consistently spoken out against corruption, economic exploitation, and Western interference in African affairs.

As Malema celebrates his 44th birthday, his impact on African politics remains undeniable. His supporters, including those in Zimbabwe, continue to look to him for bold leadership and an unwavering commitment to the fight for economic freedom.
