A daughter of a patron encountered a near-death experience after she was almost dumped by a truck while chasing a cellphone snatcher.
MOTHER RELIVES DAUGHTER’S CELLPHONE SNATCHING INCIDENT
According to a CrimeInSA tweet, the cellphone snatching incident happened in Luipaardsvlei in Krugersdorp.
To understand the footage better, the victim narrated the traumatising incident, saying they got attacked on Sunday afternoon at Luipaardsvlei in Krugersdorp by a guy who disguised as a shopper.
“This guy pretended to buy something at the shop. He was with another car as seen on the video. He took my daughter’s phone and a modem. When we were leaving the shop, he went outside and gave a signal to the guy driving the car – the guy started to come closer. When we went outside, that is when he grabbed my daughter’s phone. My daughter almost got bumped by a truck – she got badly hurt,” the daughter’s mother relived the incident.

According to the footage, the cellphone snatcher jumped into a Nissan Almera, commonly used for e-hailing services, with a black fender on the left.
