Trump – I have no plans to concede regardless of Biden reaching 270

Even as vote totals now show him trailing former Vice President Joe Biden in key battleground states, Trump has not prepared a concession speech and in conversations with allies has said he has no intention of conceding the election.

Reports are emerging from the US that President Donald Trump has told people around him that he has no plans to concede regardless of whether Joe Biden reaches 270 electoral college votes or not.

CNN reports that former VP Biden is planning a prime-time address Friday evening as he continues to widen his lead in his birth state of Pennsylvania, placing him within striking distance of the 270 electoral votes that he needs to win the White House.

Biden is ahead by more than 13,000 votes in the Keystone State and the momentum has remained in his favor in a state with 20 electoral votes that Trump cannot afford to lose.

Trump defiant

CNN reports that President Trump is absolutely defiant and resolute that he is going to fight on regardless of any official announcement and staunchly believes that massive voter fraud and inconsistencies have occurred in the counting process.

A released statement from President Trump’s team reads:

“This is no longer about any single election. This is about the integrity of our entire election process. We will pursue this process through every aspect of the law to guarantee the American people have confidence in our government. I will never give up fighting for you and our nation.”

President Trump has vowed to fight on and do whatever it takes to remain in the White House.

So far he has been bolstered in his stance by those closest to him, including his senior advisers and his adult sons, who have mounted an aggressive effort in the courts to challenge the results and have pressured other Republicans into defending him, CNN reports.

Trump refuses to be trumped

Left wing media and politicians are furious and speechless after Thursday night’s press conference which showed President Trump saying he’s going to “fight on for the America people and the integrity of election process.”

President Trump has acknowledged to some allies he recognizes the electoral math will not work in his favor, according to people familiar with the conversations, but has maintained that a prolonged court battle and corrosive rhetoric about election fraud would sow enough doubt to allow him to refuse to accept the results.

‘God knows’

Sources close to the White House said some senior officials inside the White House and the campaign are beginning to quietly back away from Trump, in acts of self-preservation, as the returns in Pennsylvania and Georgia indicate the President will not win reelection, CNN reported Friday.

“It’s over,” one key adviser to the administration said of the race. The adviser went on to say there are concerns about what Trump will do, beyond the question of whether he will concede the race.

“God. Who knows,” the adviser said when asked what Trump might do next, conceding there were multiple officials in the campaign and the White House who were shaking their heads after Trump’s litany of statements crying foul Thursday evening in the White House briefing room.
