Taxi collides with car – one person killed
One person has died, and several others were left with injuries from minor to critical when a taxi collided with a car
Emergency services responded to a serious collision between a car and a taxi on the N1 between Klapmuts and Klipheuwel toward Cape Town on Saturday, 4 February.

One person dies when car and taxi collides
Multiple services responded to the scene of an accident between a car and a taxi to assist.
On arrival, they found multiple patients with injuries ranging from minor to critical, with one patient found dead on the scene.

The rescue team discovered two patients still trapped inside the taxi.
Metro Rescue and Fire and Rescue used the jaws of life to free them.

Medics stabilise two patients – one in critical condition
Once freed, medics stabilised the two patients, one in critical condition.
To provide further medical treatment, they activated Air Mercy Services to fly the patient to a trauma facility.
