Let’s ask @StanleyOG

We have a lot questions especially when it comes to site issues. We’re constantly starting threads when things go wrong here or things aren’t working properly. Why’s everything running so slow? Who else is having problems logging on? I can go and on .

I can just imagine the shit load of messages he gets from people asking him the same questions. I feel bad for the poor bastard, I wouldn’t wanna deal with that shit. Then people get pissed when he doesn’t respond fast enough.

I just thought it would be better having a thread where we can ask him questions, when we’re experiencing site issues.

No need to start a thread when you’re experiencing an issue. Just post your questions here ,and if other’s are having problems they can respond. And if we’re still having issues we can just tag @StanleyOG and ask him for information instead of flooding him with PM’s.

Maybe this can be a Sticky thread that will be right up on top of the first page so we can reach out when we have issues

 

Subscribed! This could easily work as the much-needed (and currently missing ) general help thread.

It could end up being a great thread. Or, not. Especially as most newbs:

A) Have no clue who StanleyOG is or what he does.
B) Don’t read the Site Rules or Road Map.
C) Don’t give a flying rats patootie about paying attention to what they do, nor do they care.

But, it’s a good idea, none the less.

 

I stopped asking questions long ago.
I just go with the flow and hope for the best now. Lol

 

This thread is benign enough, and I imagine Stanley likes nothing more than people adding to his workload.

I recently posted this question in a thread asking if anyone else was having issues viewing pictures. Nobody answered the OP seriously or answered me. Is it my issue or is it a site issue? This is my reason for starting this thread

It’s my belief that the site is so slow because the server is way too old/slow for the site traffic.

 

I’ve been getting that 503 error message lately. Is anyone else getting that message or experiencing any problems lately ? That’s only if you give a fuck

This is a perfect example for why I created this thread. If you’re having issues with the site this is the place where you can find out if others are experiencing the same problem. But you have to ask and let us know what you’re having problems with.

Knowing that I’m not the only one that’s having this problem, I know it has nothing to do with my laptop or tablet. That’s what’s nice about knowing if it’s just you or not
