In November 2021, the South Africa-born Musk’s net worth reached its peak at $340 billion.
He held the title of the richest person in the world for a period that lasted more than a year.

French business tycoon and co-founder of LVMH, Bernard Arnault, passed him last month.
Following the recent decrease in Tesla shares, Elon Musk’s net worth has plummeted to $137 billion. This includes a dramatic 11% drop in Tesla shares on December 27.
