Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has been in the spotlight following his resignation from the Economic Freedom Fighters with speculation over his next move.
Rumours have circulated amid the hype and everything from a potential shift to another political party to a career in academics has been put forward as a potential move. Now, the former spokesperson’s road forward has finally been confirmed
Ndlozi confirmed as new host for Power FM
A recent Sunday World report acknowledged rumours that Power FM had approached Ndlozi months ago in preparation for his Chairman’s Conversation interview with the radio station this week.
Now, the popular Gauteng-based radio station has ended speculation with a post officially announcing Ndlozi as the new host of its Power Talk show.
The show is right up Ndlozi’s avenue as the ‘people’s bae’, with the station dubbing it an ‘alternative show with no limits’ aiming to discuss issues affecting the nation.
The report claimed that Ndlozi will begin work at the station in April, replacing Lerato Mbele as host.
Ndlozi vows no personal beef with Malema
Speaking during the Chairman’s Conversation with MSG Africa Group Executive Chairman Given Mkhari, the former EFF MP had vowed that he refused to be drawn into negative conversations about his EFF leader Julius Malema.
Despite his resignation from the party, Ndlozi opted to respect the differences in their opposing political opinions.
“I have refused the invite to make those political disagreements personal because you wouldn’t be difficult to do politics on terms of the other person. Progressive revolutions are a high calling that stems from a place of love.” Ndlozi told
Ndlozi admitted that should Malema call him, he would still pick up the call despite his comments on the nature of his resignation from the party, following a suspension.
EFF resignation ‘didn’t follow code of conduct’
As far as his departure from the EFF is concerned, Ndlozi claimed that his suspension had not relied on the party’s code of conduct.
He explained that it had rested on two counts. Ndlozi revealed that he had been accused of being part of an infiltration strategy by the EFF’s rival party Umkhonto Wesizwe Party, led by former president Jacob Zuma. Additionally.
Ndlozi claims to have been accused of knowing that former EFF deputy president Floyd Shivambu would leave for Zuma’s party and had failed to inform EFF leadership of this. Despite these allegations, Ndlozi denies being a double agent.
