Lesotho impose curfew to curb crime
Lesotho government has imposed a curfew in the Kingdom in a bid to fight crime. This comes after the murder of a prominent journalist.

The curfew came into effect on Tuesday, 16 May.
CURFEW FROM 22:00 UNTIL 04:00
All persons in the Kingdom are to be indoors from 22:00 until 4:00 unless you have a permit.
Not adhering to the curfew will result in jail time, a fine, or both.

MURDER OF WELL-KNOWN JOURNALIST SHOOK THE KINGDOM
The move comes days after a prominent radio journalist Ralikonelo Joki was shot dead.
“A curfew is imposed on all persons throughout the Kingdom of Lesotho with effect from today,” read a government gazette published on Tuesday.
Joki, host of a current affairs show on a local private radio, was gunned down by unknown assailants as he was leaving his workplace in Maseru on Sunday night.
NO ARRESTS MADE
No arrests have been made in connection with the case, and investigations are ongoing.
The curfew is to remain in place until further notice.
