At the time of publishing, Stage 3 load shedding is being implemented until 16:00 on Friday.
Stage 4 load shedding will then be in effect from 16:00 until 05:00 on Saturday.
And that’s as much as the power utility has said.

In a tweet earlier this week, Eskom posted: “Due to the breakdown of four generating units and delays in returning some units to service, Stage 4 loadshedding will be implemented with immediate effect until 05:00 in the morning. Stage 3 loadshedding will be implemented from 05:00 until 16:00 daily.
“Stage 4 loadshedding will be implemented daily at 16:00-05:00. This pattern will be repeated daily until further notice.”

Meanwhile, the City of Cape Town updated its schedule in reaction to Eskom’s announcement.

City of Cape Town electricity customers are, at the time of publishing, on Stage 2 which will continue until 16:00 on Friday.
Stage 3 will then kick in at 16:00 and continue until 22:00, followed by Stage 4 between 22:00 and 05:00 on Saturday.
