Eskom board member with ties to Gupta-owned company resigns
Another Eskom board member has resigned, less than a week after CEO Brian Molefe threw in the towel on account of the State of Capture report.
Well would you look at that; Mark Pamensky, who’s incidentally also a director of the Guptas’ Oakbay Resources and Energy, has resigned from the board of Eskom just a few days after Molefe.
Thuli Madonsela’s State of Capture report implicated both Molefe and Pamensky in a scheme to bankrupt the Optimum coal mine, so the Guptas could buy it out cheap-cheap… interesting that Pamensky, who is directly involved in Oakbay’s energy interests, would also resign following the report.
Anyway, it’s probably just coincidence then that Molefe was also placed at the Guptas’ Saxonwold residence no less than 19 times before the Optimum saga played out.
House of cards folks, house of cards.
