Have you seen them? Cheetah and leopard on the loose in Northern Cape
A cheetah and a leopard are reportedly on the loose and were seen in Khathu and Upington in the Northern Cape.

An animal welfare organisation operating in the Northern Cape has warned communities against a cheetah and leopard that were spotted roaming in Kathu and Upington.
Wild cats on the loose have made headlines in recent months. A number of them have been spotted in various parts of the country.
CHEETAH AND LEOPARD ON THE LOOSEIN THE NORTHERN CAPE
Michelle Oppernan, a representative from the Olifantshoek Animals which operates around Kathu told the SABC that there is a leopard about two kilometres outside of the town on Kathu’s side and that there is a cheetah about two kilometres out of the town on the Upington side.
Oppernan said the wild cats have been seen on the visual scene.

“The spoor has been seen and they have been seen crossing the roads close to town. It’s a bit of a concern that they are hungry. They can walk 35 kilometres in one night,” she said.
The representative said together with the police they have warned the community about the animals.
