SONA 2024: Numerous road closures in Cape Town from Thursday
The City of Cape Town has advised motorists of road closures in and around the CBD due to the State of the Nation Address (SONA).
The City of Cape Town has announced numerous road closures due to the State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Thursday, 8 February.
President Cyril Ramaphosa will deliver the last SONA of the sixth administration at the Cape Town City Hall.
CAPE TOWN ROADS AFFECTED BY SONA
The City of Cape Town said road closures in the Central Business District will be in effect to assist with traffic flow and accommodate the State of the Nation Address at the City Hall.
The road closures will affect the normal flow of traffic in and around the city bowl.
Road users have been requested to acquaint themselves with the closures and to plan their routes accordingly.
The metro municipality said some will be in place until 15 February 2024 and there will be restricted parking in some areas.
