Camps Bay fire: Kloof Nek closed due to raging blaze
Kloof Nek Road in Camps Bay has been closed indefinitely due to a fire that broke out on Thursday afternoon.
Kloof Nek Road in Camps Bay has been closed indefinitely due to a fire that broke out on Thursday afternoon.
Firefighters are in a race against time after the blaze said to have started at The Glen, with smoke visible from the City Bowl.
The Volunteer Wildfire Services (VWS) advised motorists to steer clear of Kloof Nek Road to allow emergency services to operate in the area.
“Please avoid Kloofnek road out of the city in the direction of Camps Bay. Please allow for emergency services vehicles to pass.”
