He kicked off India’s bowling display on Day 5 of the Brisbane Test with 2 early scalps.
The Indian speedster dismissed the likes of Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne.
Those scalps saw Bumrah become the highest Test wicket-taker for India in Australia.
He surpassed Kapil Dev’s record tally of 51 Test wickets.
The legendary all-rounder achieved the figure in 11 Tests between 1981 and 1992.
Bumrah now takes top place with 52 wickets in 10 matches.
Anil Kumble takes 3rd place with 49 wickets in 10 Tests.
In 4th place we have, Ravichandran Ashwin who has taken 40 wickets on Australian soil.
Rounding off the top 5 is Bishan Singh Bedi with 35 scalps in 7 matches.
