OAN Finally Admits ‘No Widespread Voter Fraud’ After Settling Defamation Suit

    William Vaillancourt

    OAN

The right-wing cable network One America News Network on Monday ran a pre-recorded 30-second segment acknowledging that there was “no widespread voter fraud” by Georgia election workers in the 2020 presidential election. The segment appears to be part of a recent settlement relating to a defamation lawsuit brought against the network by two such workers.

The segment notes that an investigation by state officials into unsubstantiated claims of widespread voter fraud made by ex-President Donald Trump and Rudy Giuliani turned up nothing. “The results of this investigation indicate that Ruby Freeman and Wandrea ‘Shaye’ Moss did not engage in ballot fraud or criminal misconduct,” a narrator states.

“A legal matter with this network and the two election workers has been resolved to the mutual satisfaction of the parties through a fair and reasonable settlement,” the voiceover adds.

Freeman and her daughter, Moss, say they were harassed online and in person after baseless rumors began circulating online, due in part to content published by the conspiracy website The Gateway Pundit, which the pair also sued. In January 2021, when Trump pressured Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to try to “find” votes to overturn the state’s election results, he mentioned Freeman’s name 18 times. Freeman was also visited by a publicist for Kanye West, who threatened her in an effort to extract a confession about committing election fraud.

And if that weren’t enough, video of the pair doing their jobs was hyped up by Rudy Giuliani—and Sean Hannity—who falsely claimed that it showed “blatant, clear, obvious” fraud. While speaking to Georgia State House Republicans about the video during a Zoom meeting in December 2020, Giuliani at one point can be heard saying, “We should try to get this on Newsmax and OANN.”

Freeman and Moss sued Giuliani as well, and that case is ongoing.4

Trump ally barred from overseeing elections in Colorado: report

    Bob Brigham
    May 10, 2022

Vote Tina Peters 2022 on Facebook.

One of Donald Trump's allies has been stripped of responsibility following her conduct as she chased conspiracy theories about the 2020 presidential election.

"For the second year in a row, a judge has ruled that GOP Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Tina Peters and Deputy Clerk Belinda Knisley are barred from overseeing an election — this time, through the November 2022 election," The Denver Post reported Tuesday. "Peters, an election denier who is seeking the Republican nomination for secretary of state, is also facing multiple investigations surrounding allegations of an election equipment security breach and campaign finance violations, including 10 criminal counts from a grand jury indictment."

Peters was sued by Secretary of State Jena Griswold (D) in January after the clerk refused to sign on to new security protocols and would not repudiate unsubstantiated claims against Dominion Voting Systems.

Judge Valerie Robison ruled, "the Court determines that the Petitioners have met the burden of showing that Peters and Knisley have committed a neglect of duty and are unable to perform the duties of the Mesa County Designated Election Official."

RELATED: Outlandish claims about Pence circulated on Jan. 6 came from a familiar source—a Seth Rich conspiracy theory

Peters is running for Secretary of State and received the most votes at the state Republican assembly and convention.

"Peters has received significant national attention from other election deniers, getting support from MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, including financially for her legal defense, after she began facing legal action over copies getting made of Mesa County’s voting machines’ hard drives. Passwords from the machines were leaked and later posted online," the newspaper reported. "The embattled clerk also made a visit to former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property last week."

Judge greenlights lawsuit against Colorado Pro-Trump group accused of sending armed vigilantes door-to-door

On Wednesday, Newsweek reported that a federal judge is allowing a lawsuit from three Colorado voting rights organizations to proceed against another group, alleging it violated the post-Civil War Ku Klux Klan Act by engaging in organized intimidation of voters.

"U.S. District Judge Philip A. Brimmer late last month dismissed a motion from lawyers for U.S. Election Integrity Plan (USEIP) to dismiss the lawsuit brought against it by three voting rights groups," reported Jake Thomas. "The lawsuit alleges that USEIP's attempts to sniff out votes it believes were cast illegally ran afoul of federal voting rights protections. The legal battle is one of many playing out nationally following claims of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election."

"The Colorado Montana Wyoming State Area Conference of the NAACP, the League of Women Voters of Colorado and Mi Familia Vota brought the lawsuit in March against USEIP, alleging the group violated the Voting Rights Act and the Ku Klux Klan Act," said the report. "Following the 2020 election, people affiliated with USEIP showed up on Colorado residents' doorsteps wearing badges and identified themselves with official-sounding groups, such as the "Voter Integrity Committee," according to the lawsuit."

The group, led by an ally of pro-Trump MyPillow CEO and election conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell, allegedly sent armed members door to door in the process of their "investigation."

The Ku Klux Klan Act, passed in 1871 with the intention of prohibiting activities commonly used at the time to terrorize freedmen, has also been used to try to go after former President Donald Trump for his scheme to overturn the 2020 presidential election outright.

Colorado, which voted for President Joe Biden by double digits, has seen pockets of far-right conspiracy theorists trying to prove Trump's "Big Lie" that the election was stolen. Two county clerks in the state have been accused of tampering with voting machines to try to find data supporting Trump's accusations.

Democrat Official in Virginia Indicted on Plethora of Election Fraud-Related Counts
    [IMG]

A Democrat holding public office in Buchanan County, Virginia, has been indicted on 82 felony counts, including 34 counts of making false statements related to election fraud.

In a press release, the Russel County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office announced that a grand jury indicted Knox District Supervisor Trey Adkins on a slew of felony counts. Adkins, who has held the position since 2011, faces 34 counts of making false statements related to election fraud, 15 counts of uttering public records, 11 counts of absentee voting procedure violation, 11 counts of forgery of public record, 8 counts of public embezzlement, and 3 counts of conspiracy to make false statements – election fraud.

The Commonwealth’s Attorney for Russel County, Zack Stoots, who was appointed special prosecutor in the case, said:

The Rules of Professional Conduct prevents any lawyer participating in the prosecution of a criminal matter that may be tried to a jury from making an extrajudicial statement that the lawyer knows or should know will have a likelihood of interfering with the fairness of a trial by jury. Based on the Rules of Professional Conduct, my office will not be making any further statements on the pending matters.

Virginia’s election results show Adkins won three elections to the Knox District Board of Supervisors in 2011, 2015, and 2019. The indictment, shared to Scribd by WCYB, asserts that “Adkins relied on a number of absentee ballot applications and votes” in each election cycle.

Buchanan County Registrar Vickie Clevinger testified that Adkins presented the most Absentee Application Forms of any candidate running for public office, according to the indictment, though it is unclear if she was speaking of a specific election cycle or of all the elections.

Trey Adkins and Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) (Facebook/The Knox District News)

Numerous Knox District voters, whose absentee applications were allegedly filled out by Adkins, testified in the year-long probe – the majority of whom expressed that the “Reason Code” on their absentee ballot applications was false, the indictment asserted. Some of the incorrect information included fake travel plans to locations outside of Buchanan County and fabricated disabilities for individuals who were not disabled, according to the indictment. Adkins allegedly knew that these voters whose applications cited disabilities in the reason code were employed full-time.

The document notes that some of the witnesses who testified provided signatures that were not consistent with the signatures on their absentee ballot forms. The witnesses, who allegedly did not fill out the documents, believe their signatures were forged.

    The indictment reads in part:

In both 2011 and 2019, Mr. Adkins went to several voters’ homes and assisted them in filling out their ballots. Every voter testified that he arrived alone. On many occasions, Mr. Adkins took the ballots with him. Ballot Envelope Forms are required to be signed by the voter and a witness. We were presented with numerous Ballot Envelope Forms bearing witness signatures that were never present in the voters’ homes. Some of the Ballot Envelope were signed by Sherry Lynn Bailey.

Bailey faces twelve total felony counts, including four counts of false statements – election fraud, four counts of conspiracy to make a false statement, and four counts of forgery of public record.

Moreover, the indictment notes that gravel owned by Buchanan County was used on private driveways of several Knox District residents. Knox District contractor Eugene Cline, who delivered the gravel, testified that he did so at Adkins’s instruction. Craig Horne, Buchanan County Administrator, testified that town-owned gravels are only to be used on private property when the county works to fix the damage that it caused.

“In good conscience and after considerable deliberation, the Special Grand Jury concludes that the integrity of the election process has been violated,” the document reads.

On Tuesday, a jury convicted a Minnesota man of two counts of making false statements to a grand jury amid an election-fraud probe.

Surveillance Footage Debunks MAGA Clerk’s Voter Fraud Claims

A conspiracy-peddling county clerk claimed sinister election malfeasance in her home district. But surveillance footage reveals it was her own staff bumbling with computers.

Tina Peters, clerk of Mesa County, Colorado is currently facing 10 charges related to allegations that she and a colleague stole a local man’s identity and used it to break into voting equipment in the clerk’s office. Peters allegedly leaked voting data to conspiracy theorists, catapulting her to stardom in the Stop The Steal movement. Peters says the data reveals election tampering in the 2020 presidential election—claims that elections experts have repeatedly dismissed. In a Thursday hearing, Mesa County’s district attorney dismantled Peters’ core claims, with help from surveillance footage from inside her own office.

The Thursday hearing came in response to a March report, prepared on behalf of Peters’ legal team. The report claims that several actions on Mesa County election machines could only have been performed by nefarious outside actors manipulating the county’s voting machines from afar.

That’s not true, District Attorney Dan Rubinstein showed during the hearing.

Kathy Barnette Falls Short—but Her Extremism Is the GOP’s New Normal

The report took issue with an election database logging 10 batches of ballots within 47 seconds (“physically impossible,” the document reads). The document claims that “Mesa County election clerks were unaware of these batch timestamps, or any issue that could explain them.” The supposed issue “demonstrates this manipulation of ballots,” by outside forces, the report alleges.

But surveillance footage, revealed during the hearing, shows Mesa County staffers easily logging those same batches of ballots within 47 seconds. None appear to blink at what the report described as a physically impossible stunt of data-entry.

And rather than a shadowy cabal of hackers manipulating the data from outside the clerk’s office, the surveillance footage shows one of Peters’ close associates uploading the ballots in question. The colleague, Sandra Brown, was later fired from the clerk's office for allegedly helping Peters breach voting machines. (Brown denies those allegations.)

Other claims in Peters’ latest election report were similarly debunked by surveillance footage. At one point, elections officials experienced a computer error and attempted to restart their software. The report claims that election staffers called a helpline for Dominion Voting Systems, the company that manufactured the voting machines, and that the error was mysteriously resolved after the call. (Some conspiracy theorists falsely accuse Dominion staffers of a plot to tamper with votes.)

“According to several Mesa County election officials, DVS support was contacted at approximately 4PM on the 21st of October, and while the support representative claimed to not have a solution for the issue Mesa County was seeing, that issue ceased soon afterwards,” the report reads.

In actuality, surveillance footage and phone logs show, election staffers made no effort to contact Dominion. Instead, Brown performed a hard restart of the election equipment and resumed working.

The report’s authors claimed to have spoken at length to Mesa County elections staffers, who had “a strong recollection” of the ballot-counting. “Extensive questioning of Mesa County election clerks has ruled out human error,” the report concludes.

Mike Lindell Gets Sued at Nightmare Rally With MAGA Election Clerk

Actual Mesa County elections staff claim differently. Rubinstein’s staff questioned the 11 election workers in the room at the time of the alleged issues, he said at the hearing. All of them said the report’s authors had not even contacted them, let alone performed “extensive questioning.”

Rubinstein said Brown and the report’s authors were similarly AWOL when the District Attorney’s office reached out. One of the report’s two authors, a data analyst who goes by the moniker “MAGA Raccoon,” confirmed on his website that the DA’s office had contacted him, but said he referred investigators to Peters’ legal team.

Peters’ office has been accused of bungling previous elections, although never enough to affect their outcome. In 2019, Peters’ office left a box of more than 570 uncounted ballots outdoors for months. During the 2020 primaries, Peters’ office installed a dropbox that spilled ballots into a parking lot. When questioned about the box, Peters suggested the incident had been staged by a local couple, who denied the allegation.

Ultimately, Rubinstein said, the issues flagged in the report had no bearing on the election results—and that those hiccups were the result of human error within the clerk’s office.

“Sandra Brown did it and we find no evidence that it affected the election at all,” he said.

Trump-backing Michigan lawmaker implicated in scheme to illegally access voting equipment: report

    Matthew Chapman

    Daire Rendon (Official photo)

On Friday, The Detroit News reported that Daire Rendon, a pro-Trump Michigan state representative, has been caught up in an investigation into illegal access to voting equipment.

"The Michigan State Police and Attorney General Dana Nessel's office have been investigating voting machine access in multiple counties in the battleground state for months. Their work started in Roscommon County, an area represented by Rendon, a Republican from Lake City," said the report.

Carol Asher, the longtime clerk in Denton Township, told The Detroit News that Rendon "wanted to get access to our tabulator, and I said no."

Asher added that Rendon had called other clerks and had made the same request.

READ MORE: New Eastman revelations 'directly tie Donald Trump to an arguable fraud': legal expert

"The Attorney General's Office reached out to Asher... and she provided a statement about Rendon's request on March 10, 2022," The Detroit News notes. "The subject line of the statement was 'statement regarding phone call received about tabulator access,'" the report continued. "In a Thursday interview, Rendon, a third-term lawmaker, declined to answer whether she had been interviewed by the Michigan State Police as part of the tabulator probe."

This comes as other pro-Trump officials have faced investigations and criminal charges for unauthorized access to voting equipment.

In Colorado, two county clerks, Tina Peters and Dallas Schroeder, have been accused of improperly breaching voting machines to try to gather evidence for the former President's conspiracy theory that the 2020 election was stolen. Peters has been indicted on 10 counts relating to the incident.

    Let me understand this:

you hack fuck trolling leftists are of the opinion that if these 2 hack fuck leftist voting women that were investigated by the State of Georgia and found to be not guilty of promoting election fraud/election irregularities...that there was no election fraud that took place during the 2020 Election?---Is that what I am to believe here?...even the Gov.of Georgia finally admitted that there was in fact election fraud that had taken place during the 2020 election.

As I hear it told....you hack fucks were adamant about the court cases being thrown out due to the lack of evidence...seems these 2 hack fuck leftist voting women were not tried in a court of law...that you hack fucks so enjoyed throwing into the mix when it was convenient for you hack fucks.

I also heard that 'voice over' on twitter...fuck that noise.

Was that an official statement made by OANN?... dont think so.
