
Honda Elevate: Keenly-priced compact SUV launches in SA
The new Honda Elevate SUV is now available in South Africa and is aimed at families and boasts a at 458-litre boot. It’s priced from R369 900.

The new Honda Elevate made its local debut this week. The Indian-built family SUV is a fresh nameplate in South Africa and will be available in two derivatives: Comfort and Elegance.
One engine choice available: a 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC petrol motor with 89kW and 145Nm.
HOW MUCH DOES THE HONDA ELEVATE COST?
The Japanese carmaker has priced the new model from R369 900 for the Comfort derivative with a six-speed manual gearbox. The flagship, Elegance CVT, retails for R429 900 according to Quickpic.
The Honda Elevate will go on sale locally on 23 February.

WHAT STANDARD FEATURES DOES IT HAVE?
Honda says the new model boasts a class-leading boot capacity of 458 litres. Inside, the Comfort model features fabric-covered seats while the extra dosh for the Elegance upgrades the pews with ‘eco-friendly’ leather.
Honda offers both models with LED headlights and taillights. Other standard features include: automatic air-conditioning, keyless entry, rear parking sensors and a reverse parking camera.
The infotainment system is accessed via an eight-inch touch-screen display and the Elegance model benefits from a wireless smartphone charger.
In terms of safety, the Comfort only has two front airbags (driver and passenger), while the Elegance adds side and side-curtain airbags.
