SA has two more millionaires! Lotto jackpot winners claim winnings
South Africa has two latest millionaires in town after Lotto jackpot winners claim their winnings and reveal plans for the cash.
A man and a woman have become millionaires after bagging R19 million and R2.7 million respectively during two Lotto jackpot draws, reported IOL on 2 December 2024.
The search for the winner of the R19 million Lotto jackpot has come to an end. This is after the winner finally claimed his winnings six days after the draw, which was on 20 November 2024. According to Ithuba, the other player, however, didn’t waste any time claiming her prize two days after the draw.
R19 MILLION LOTTO JACKPOT WINNER’S PLANS
The R19 million Lotto jackpot winner is a father of five, and Ithuba revealed that he claimed his millions accompanied by his son and brother. He had kept his ticket under his mattress for safekeeping.
The “ simple man” said he wasn’t planning on making any major changes in his life. He also plans to continue working and maintaining his “humble lifestyle.” He spoke about the conditions he and his kids were currently living under and expressed:
“My children and I live in a two-bedroom house with an outside toilet. The younger ones three sleep with me, while the older children sleep in the outside structure. I want to make home improvements and buy beds for my children.”
He said his other plans include buying his first car, building a house for his elderly mother and ensuring his children get quality education.
