As fans now have a relentless fascination with Netflix’s ‘Squid Game’, The Kiffness made a remix of the show’s viral song!
After The Kiffness ventured into the relatively obscure genre of feline-focused live looping in recent times, the popular Cape Town musician took on Squid Game‘s now-viral Red Light, Green Light song.

Some are of the opinion that if this remix played during the Korean drama, the show would have ended early as “everyone would have been shot for dancing and not being able to stop”.

The song went viral on TikTok and other social media platforms as many become fascinated with the show’s premise which revolves around contestants who have a financially challenging past, all looking to test their skills and their strength in the hopes of winning a large sum of money. Others simply used the song as a backdrop to show how South Africans would react to a similar game in the country.
And now, as The Kiffness always gives South Africa a good remix that leaves us hanging onto our chairs, fans are in agreement that he can take anything and make it into a hit song.
“Epic and freaky. Please do not stop what you are doing Kiff, you’re saving people’s sanity with your efforts,” said one YouTube user. “Greenlight for this remix!”

“You made very smart and chilling music out of something I would have destroyed with a flamethrower. You’re a genius,” said another. “Yet another amazing display of your ability to turn literally anything into beautiful music.”
It is reported that the doll – which is central to the song – reportedly says: “무궁화 꽃이 피었습니다” (mugunghwa kkochi piotsseumnida), which can be roughly translated to “the Hibiscus flower has bloomed” – referring to the National flower of Korea.
