SUSSEXES: PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN MARKLE ENCOURAGE AMERICANS TO VOTE
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s foundation, Archewell is encouraging Americans to vote in the upcoming US presidential election. In honor of the US National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday 24 September, employees of the Archewell Foundation wrote personalised letters to “support and empower” unregistered voters.
“Voting is not just a right; it’s a fundamental way to influence the fate of our communities,” read a statement on their website read.
“At The Archewell Foundation, we recognize that civic engagement, no matter one’s political party, is at the heart of a more just and equitable world,” it continued. “By participating in initiatives like this, we aim to amplify the message that every voice matters.”
NOT THE FIRST TIME PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN SPEAK OUT ABOUT VOTING
This is not the first time Prince Harry and Meghan have spoken out about the importance of voting. Just before the 2020 election, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared a similar message during an ABC broadcast special.
“Every four years we are told the same thing, that this is the most important election of our lifetime. But this one is,” said Meghan.
“When we vote, our values are put into action and our voices are heard. Your voice is a reminder that you matter, because you do and you deserve to be heard,” she continued.
This comes as Royal expert Phil Dampier claims that Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle are “living separate lives”.
“It is significant that he is doing so much on his own now. They are living more separate lives as it looks like Harry is trying to carve out what exactly his future is,” said Dampier to The Sun.
“I suspect Harry has been feeling very much like a spare part. He wants more fulfilling roles for himself so we may well be seeing more of him here,” he continued.
Prince Harry has been in New York for a week of high-profile solo events.
