Former Bafana Bafana star Teko Modise and wife Koketso ‘split after three years’

Former Bafana Bafana and Mamelodi Sundowns star Teko Modise is making headlines after reportedly calling it quits with his wife, Koketso ‘Koki’ Modise.

ZiMoja reports that the couple called it quits a few months ago. Rumour has it that the former Mamelodi Sundown star has since left their shared home in the leafy suburbs north of Johannesburg.

However, the two have yet to confirm the news that has thrust them into top trends.

Against the news, The South African has since noted that Koketso Modise has changed her social media profiles—she has since removed ‘Modise’ from her handles.

She has since deleted Teko Modise from her social media feeds, leaving many convinced that the two are no longer together.

Over the years, the two have wowed many with their love life and often shared their priceless moments, from dinner dates to vacations.

After their rumoured breakup, they all wiped their memories from their social media feeds. Reports have it that the couple tried to save their marriage, but their efforts hit a dead end.

However, the rumour mill has it that the two might rekindle their love since they love each other despite their recent fallout.

A source speaking to ZiMoja said, “They make a cute couple, but sadly, the relationship has run its course. Maybe in the future, but right now, I think they both need to be apart from each other.”

The source also revealed that Teko Modise’s ex-wife is currently living it up in Italy with her friends. “She continues being fabulous and living it up,” said the source. 

According to reports, Teko Modise and Koketso tied the knot in a traditional wedding ceremony in 2021. The two share a two-year-old son.

Over the years, Teko Modise has kept his private life under wraps, leaving many to guess.

However, in 2023, he made headlines when he talked about finding love again after calling it quits with his ex-wife, Felicia Mokoena.

Speaking about his relationship with Koketso, Teko Modise said, “I didn’t think I’d do it again.”

The former Bafana Bafana and Mamelodi Sundowns star said, “I learnt to prioritise certain things. I found time for myself, and I got the feeling that I can get married again.”

Teko Modise added, “I was ready for it. I had worked on myself. Now, I am the type of person who rushes home for dinner.”
