Limpopo-born actress Mosa Nkwashu who plays the role of Lewatle Babeile discusses the challenges of her Skeem Saam character.

MOSA NKWASHU: ‘LEWATLE IS AN INTERESTING CHARACTER’

TiemNews reports that the 17-year-old Skeem Saam actress and model Mosa Nkwashu who plays a grade 10 learner, Lewatle is currently in matric.

The Mokopane rising star admits that she finds her teenage character both challenging and enriching.

“Lewatle is a very interesting character to portray. She faces certain situations that I personally haven’t experienced. It’s fascinating to put myself in her shoes and explore what many teenage girls out there go through,” she says.

The model and actress also reveals that she enjoys portraying her character: “Because Lewatle and I are different individuals, and that change challenges me.”

Nkwashu joined the award-winning soapie in January 2022 alongside Mahlatse played by Phillip Thobejane, Letetswe played by Mahlatse Moropo, Paxton played by Thabiso Molokomme, and Mosebjadi played by Zizo Sobhutyu.

HER ROLE IN ‘SKEEM SAAM’

Actress Mosa Nkwashu portrays the character of Lewatle Babeile who is the teenage daughter of Captain Enos Babeile (Matthews Manamela) in Skeem Saam.

Lewatle is in a relationship with Paxton Kgomo (played by Thabiso Molokomme).

In the soapie, Lewatle Babeile has had a huge crush on Molokomme’s character and would do anything for him.

She recently ran away from home to join Paxton in Johannesburg, where she had intercourse for the first time.

Her father Babeile is against their relationship and believes his daughter deserves better than him.
