‘I want to marry a virgin’: Father-of-three Mpumelelo Mseleku [video]
The 3rd episode of ‘Uthando Nesthembu’ season 7 ended on a cliffhanger when Mpumelelo Mseleku told his parents that he’s ready to get married.
Aspiring polygamist Mpumelelo Mseleku dropped a bombshell in the third episode of Uthando Nesthembu season seven when he told his father, Musa Mseleku, that he wants to marry a virgin.
The 22-year-old father-of-three (who is a footballer and musician) says he’s set to take his first wife. He currently has two children with his first girlfriend, Vuyokazi Nciweni, and shares one child with his second girlfriend, Tirelo Kale.

MPUMELELO MSELEKU WANTS HIS FIRST WIFE TO BE A VIRGIN
Towards the end of the third season of the Mzansi Magic reality series, Mseleku and Mpumelo have a heart-to-heart about polygamy. During the conversation, Mseleku (who has four wives) gives his son advise about the kind of women he should marry. Among some of Mseleku’s non-negotiables are women with children, women who are Christians and women who don’t want to be in a polygamous marriage.
Later in the conversation, Mpumelelo’s mother (who is Mseleku’s second wife, MaYeni) joins them.

While discussing the former Moroka Swallows player’s future, he tells his parents that he wants his first wife to be a virgin.
“I’m walking this journey with them [Vuyokazi and Tirelo], however, I’m still assessing them. Honestly speak, I think I’m going to start this journey differently.
“There will be someone else that I choose to make my first wife. As far as I know, according to the IsiZulu culture, when I first get married, it should be with a virgin,” Mpumelelo says.

‘I LOVE WOMEN’
During his interview on The Venting Podcast last year, Mpumelelo said that his father has never forced him to follow in his footsteps.
“I love women. I would be lying if I said my father convinced me into being a polygamist. If I was doing it for my father, I would not be able to continue doing it. I am still going to continue. I won’t say how many women I plan to have, but they are more than my father has.”
