He left behind two daughters with his ex-wife.

MARK PILGRIM REMEMBERED ON ANNIVERSARY
On her Instagram account, Adrienne Watkins shared a touching tribute to Mark Pilgrim, who had proposed to her just months before his death.
She posted: “How much I miss you. How much WE miss you. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you. How lucky I was to love and be loved by you. I think of how brave and dignified and strong you were all the way to the very end, my love”.
She continued: “Thank you for teaching me what love is and, through our journey, teaching me to embrace this life. For teaching me to be present and to not take one second of it for granted.
“To live with my whole heart and be intentional with my time and who I share it with, to dream and to be brave with my life. To not be afraid to fall, knowing that even if I do, it’s better to have tried than never to try at all.

“And to reach for the stars but always keep my feet on the ground”.
Adrienne planned to commemorate the day by lighting a candle and remembering to live by his wise words.
GONE TOO SOON
