‘We are adults’: Khanyi Mbau reunites with Kudzai after split
Khanyi Mbau reveals that she has reconciled with Kudzai Mushonga after announcing their split earlier this month.
South African actress Khanyi Mbau has revealed that she has reconciled with boyfriend Kudzai Mushonga, via an Instagram post on 16 January.

Actress and reality star Khanyi Mbau has reconciled with Kudzai Mushonga, after announcing their split earlier this month. Taking to Instagram on 16 January, Khanyi revealed that Kudzai called her and demanded to address the “bad things” he did and she cried, while he listened. She went on to say that he then sent a car headed “home”. Take a look…
“He called. Demanded I address the bad things he did, he asked to attend the funeral that made me mourn, I cried. He listened. Now I am in the car he sent headed home,” she wrote.
In the caption, Khanyi said that she and Kudzai are adults and her followers should listen and not judge. She went on to reference the tattoo she has of Kudzai’s name on her thigh.
“Don’t ask!! 🫣 he didn’t entertain my rubbish. We are adults!!! ( listen don’t judge). Besides where would I go with a thigh laminated in bold with his name! 😪,” he wrote.
WHY DID KHANYI MBAU AND KUDZAI MUSHONGA BREAK UP?
Khanyi stated that Kudzai was a good guy, but he did some “bad things” and so she finally had the courage to leave.
“He was a good guy, but he did some bad things. He tried everything he could to make it up to me. I did most of grieving while we were together. I finally got the courage to leave. And of course I wish him the best,” read the announcement, which has since been removed.
“Give everything time.. I am grateful for the experience. 💫,” she captioned the post.
Khanyi has been dating Kudzai on-and-off since 2021. In 2021, the pair had a public break up. Kudzai dropped Khanyi off at a salon in Dubai and she caught a flight back home to Johannesburg without telling him. However, the pair got back together, not too long after.
This comes after Khanyi showed support to Annie Idibia after her husband, 2Baba announced their divorce on social media.
