‘We can’t keep quiet about her lies’: Gayton McKenzie exposes Kelly Smith
‘Not once did she cry for little Joslin Smith’: Gayton McKenzie has exposed Kelly Smith, who is the mother of the missing girl.

Patriotic Alliance (PA) leader, Gayton McKenzie has criticised Kelly Smith, the mother of missing child, Joslin Smith.
GAYTON MCKENZIE: ‘I KNEW I MET A SUSPECT’
In a Facebook post on Friday, 7 March, Gayton McKenzie reveals that he has always suspected Kelly Smith was involved in the disappearance of her missing daughter, Joslin Smith.
“When I met Kelly, I couldn’t sleep because I knew I just met a suspect. I confided in my partner, and we had a massive argument. She told me how, how dare you? This lady just lost her child, and you come here with suspicious thoughts,” says McKenzie.
He adds that his protectors agreed with him as they also got the same sense about her. They decided to befriend her closely, and after a few days they knew that she knew more.
“I would be the one she would ask for money; clothes and I made sure we get her a phone. We spoiled her and bought her groceries etc., she had no income, we became her income,” he says.
McKenzie also reveals that the police also narrowed their suspect lists down to Kelly and her partner and she called him crying hysterically when the police called her in for questioning.
“Divan Kleinbooi one of my protectors put her on speaker phone, she cried hysterically, my first question was, are the police assaulting you guys, during the tears she said no again, she was crying because the police wanted to separate her and her boyfriend, it was the deepest cry, hysterical cry.”
“We were all shocked because not once did she cry or show emotion for little Joshlin, we once thought that maybe she is not an emotional person. She cried uncontrollably for her boyfriend,” the minister recalls.
McKenzie adds that Kelly danced like crazy on the day that they had a church service for Joslin. They picked up that they [Kelly and her boyfriend] were planning to run as their bags were packed and they had transport to visit the family.
Daily Maverick reported this week that Kelly Smith and her co-accused claimed that they took drugs on several occasions and failed to look for Joslin Smith until hours later.
The six-year-old went missing on 19 February, and her mother reported her missing several days later.
SOUTH AFRICANS SLAM KELLY SMITH
Althea Philander: “As Christians we are taught not to judge people. But I cannot watch the news or read the newspapers articles about this lady. How she manipulated everyone into believing her lies and yet all we want to know is who took that little girl and where is she. Just seeing her break down yesterday and acting for the cameras made my blood boil. and I just want this over with. I just want little Joshlin found, that’s all I’m praying for.”
Belinah Matlala: “The police should have marinated them a little bit. Maybe the truth could have come out. No wonder she’s this big, she’s been handled with soft gloves. I fear the longer it takes we will never find that innocent child.”
Lincoln Seoloane: “She makes me sick that she even gained weight while the child is suffering. She makes me sick that she’s even bathing and wearing a cross necklace during site visit. She doesn’t deserve this privilege make her walk than to be driven around she sleeps better, and we’ll protected bloody nefarious.”
Sue Bester Swarts: “I also have a lot of respect for you Mr Gayton Mckenzie. The way you handled the whole ordeal was brilliant. Even though some political parties and the general public doubted your mission on the search for the truth. You also had to keep your cool under very difficult circumstances. Salute.”
