FORMER KAIZER CHIEFS STAR KGOTSO MOLEKO RAKING IN THOUSANDS FROM FARMING
Despite keeping his private life under wraps, the former Kaizer Chiefs star often posted on social media to give Mzansi a sneak peek of his life.
Given his recent posts, fans were left convinced that Kgotso Moleko is raking in thousands, if not millions, from farming.
He shared photos of his farm, including a flock of sheep. Reports have it that his farm is based in Free State.
Kgotso Moleko is also into pig farming. Farmers have earned a fortune from agriculture in recent years, and the former Kaizer Chiefs stat hasn’t been spared.
In 2020, a detailed analysis by PayScale revealed that an average farmer in South Africa generates around R280 000 profit annually. This is undoubtedly a decent return for a business.
However, little is known if these figures also apply to consistent small-scale farmers. After all, the former Kaizer Chiefs star joins a host of PSL footballers who have invested in farming over the years.
ANDILE JALI
Former Mamelodi Sundowns star Andile Jali’s farm is reportedly in Port Elizabeth. Last year, he made headlines after sharing photos while feeding a herd of cattle and a flock of sheep.
BONGANI ZUNGU
AmaZulu star Bongani Zungu topped trends last year after sharing photos of his Ankole herd.
Against the post, Mzansi was more than convinced that he was already investing big in his life after football. Popular football blog Mzansi Football also confirmed the news on Facebook.
CAREER
After all, the former Kaizer Chiefs star reportedly made a huge chunk of his fortune from football.
Kgotso Moleko started his career with Deportivo La Coruna (South Africa) before joining Liverpool (South Africa).
However, he joined Bloemfontein Celtic youth academy before he was promoted to the senior team.
Kgotso Moleko began his senior career with Celtic in 2010. After two seasons, he joined Kaizer Chiefs in 2012. However, after over 70 club appearances, he left the Soweto giants for AmaZulu in 2021.
