Influencer Inno Morolong is making headlines after being sentenced to 12 months of house arrest at Randburg Magistrate’s Court in Johannesburg.
However, the sentence also included several restrictions on her movements and activities.
INNO MOROLONG, SENTENCED TO 12 MONTHS OF HOUSE ARREST
Inno Morolong was found guilty of crimen injuria and defamation between her and Tebogo Thobejane.
No doubt, her sentencing comes after she was dragged to the courts by Tebogo Thobejane last year after a series of damning allegations.
After the court ruling, Tebogo Thobejane shared more details about Inno Morolong’s sentencing. Part of the judgement includes:
12 MONTHS OF HOUSE ARREST
The accused will be under house arrest for 12 months of correctional supervision.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
However, Inno Morolong must also perform at least 16 hours of community service without compensation.
NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE MAGISTERIAL JURISDICTION
The accused is restricted from leaving the magisterial jurisdiction of their residence.
REFRAIN FROM ALCOHOL AND DRUG ABUSE
Apart from that, the media also noted that Inno Morolong was ordered to refrain from alcohol and drug abuse throughout the sentence.
Fans and fellow celebrities who Inno Morolong has bullied flooded Tebogo Thobejane’s comment section with their two cents.
Some celebrities, including Dineo Moloisane, said she might also consider legal action against Inno Morolong.
MAKING HEADLINES
The former besties’ feud dates back to 2021. In 2023, things escalated when Morolong took to Instagram to accuse Thobejane of “sleeping with the president”.
The Diamonds and Dolls reality TV star also claimed that the actress is a bad mother. The hostess also took to social media to post naked pictures of Thobejane.
Morolong also shared the former Diep City actress’ phone number and her son’s residential address.
As a result of this, Thobejane said she had to take her son out of his school to ensure his safety. At the time, she also left the country as she said she was receiving death threats.
OTHER CHARGES
This is not the first time that Morolong has broken the law.
In 2023, an assault with grievous to cause bodily harm case (GBH) was opened by fellow club hostess Olwethu Magudumana – who is the niece of Dr Nandipha Magudumana’s ex-husband Dr Mkhuseli Magudumana.
The charges were later dropped as Morolong asked for forgiveness. Inno Morolong also made headlines in 2022 when she was accused of brutally assaulting a friend in a bloody fight at the club.
