Annie Mthembu’s estranged husband Da Guru ‘lists furniture’ on Facebook Marketplace

Former Real Housewives of Durban star Annie Mthembu’s estranged husband, Kgolo ‘Da Guru’ Mthembu, is trending after it was reported that he is now selling some of their ‘alleged’ items online.

This undoubtedly came as a shocker to many since Da Guru is best known for his soft life. Against the news, the once-popular businessman has yet to address the reports.

However, rumour has it that Annie Mthembu’s estranged husband listed some of their possessions for sale on Facebook Marketplace.

Popular X user @sanelenkosixx shared Da Guru’s listing, which includes furniture, toy cars and palm trees.

The popular X user alleges that the star has been listing some of his properties online to make ends meet.

Celebrity blog Maphepha Ndaba seemingly confirmed the news with Instagram posts. Against the news, netizens quickly flooded online with their two cents.

Many were convinced he was getting rid of things they no longer used and that selling them on Facebook was not as bad as the rumour mill had peddled.

On the other hand, other fans made it known that he would bounce back stronger. Last year, Da Guru and Annie Mthembu made headlines when it was reported that the two were down and out.

Against the news, he opened up about his woes online, revealing that over R750 000 was stolen from his business.

At the time, Mthembu had several businesses under his name in Durban, including popular joints Views At Twenty5, RichDurban, and Luma Sunsets.

However, Da Guru also revealed that the incident saw his wife switching the floor to other family businesses that needed ‘undivided attention.’

Da Guru said, “My wife will go back to Real Housewives of Durban when she’s ready. She is now committed to other business errands that need her undivided attention.”

Since then, the famous power couple has kept their private life under wraps, leaving many guessing.

However, reports have it that Da Guru lost everything he had worked for over the years, including his wife.

According to ZiMoja, he even sold one of his rumoured joints, Viewz Urban Grill and Rooftop nightclub, to DJ Bongz, real name Bongani Dlamini, who rescued the once popular joint from going under.

One of his close friends revealed to the media that he lost his flashiest cars and still owes people money, but he will bounce back.

This is not the first time Da Guru has hit rock bottom. He was once down and out in 2011 but managed to bounce back with a bag despite his current woes.
