AMANDA BLACK ADDRESSES SEXUAL ASSAULT ALLEGATIONS
Singer Amanda Black has vehemently denied sexual assault accusations against Sjava. The allegations, which circulated on social media, claimed that the BET Award-winning artist allegedly raped her.
She took to social media on Monday evening to refute the damaging allegations. The Amazulu hitmaker stated that she does not know where the allegations originated.
“Hi everyone, Sjava did not sexually assault me. I have no idea where these rumours came from, but they are not true and did not come from me,” she wrote.
Sjava has not yet commented on the accusations; however, his fans are greatly relieved, considering his past legal battle with singer Lady Zamar.
SJAVA ACCUSED OF RAPE BY LADY ZAMAR
In 2017, Sjava was accused by his ex-girlfriend, singer Lady Zamar, of rape. She alleged that the incident occurred during their stay at a hotel in Limpopo.
“That morning, we were making out, kissing, and he had invited me into his hotel room. We had never been alone together; while this was happening, suddenly, this person started taking off my clothes, and he raped me,” she alleged.
The Collide singer then filed a case against Sjava, who denied the rape allegations and requested the matter be heard in the high court.
In 2020, the National Prosecuting Authority dismissed the case, citing a lack of “concrete evidence” to prosecute- as reported by Sowetan LIVE.
