‘Putin want peace’ – Trump claims he had a deal with Russian President
Trump has continued to bash Zelensky for “the hatred he’s got for Putin” accusing him of not wanting a peace with the Russian leader.
United States of America President Donald Trump claims he has spoken to Russian President Vladimir Putin and made “a deal” to end the war in Ukraine.
This comes days after Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky was grilled by the American leader. During the meeting at the Oval House, Trump called for ‘seize fire’ and make peace, which the Ukrainian president was not keen on.
On Wednesday, CNN reported that Trump had a very productive call with Russian President Putin to end the war.
“I think he wants to stop fighting. I see that. We spoke long and hard,” the US president said.
Trump has continued to bash Zelensky for “the hatred he’s got for Putin” accusing him of not wanting a peace with the Russian leader.
“Those who seek negotiations do not deliberately strike civilians with ballistic missiles. To force Russia to stop its attacks, we need greater collective strength from the world,” the American president said in a statement.
Trump and Putin join hands?
“Ukraine is fighting for the normal and safe life it deserves, for a just and reliable peace. We want this war to end. But Russia does not, and (it) continues its aerial terror,” he added.
On Tuesday, it was reported that Trump had paused aid to Ukraine after clashing with Zelesky.
