Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are making headlines again, this time with the purchase of a European vacation home.

PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN’S NEW HOME

Reports confirm that the couple has acquired a property in Portugal, following their eviction from Frogmore Cottage by King Charles III, according to Page Six.

This marks a significant move for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have been living in California since stepping back from royal duties in 2020.

Sources indicate that the new property is located north of Lisbon. This is near where Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, own a holiday estate.

“This purchase signals a new chapter for Harry and Meghan as they seek to establish roots in Europe,” a source commented.

The couple’s move comes more than a year after they were evicted from Frogmore Cottage, their official residence in the UK, according to The Cut.

The eviction process reportedly began in January 2023, just one day before Harry released his explosive memoir, Spare.

In the book, he made several allegations against the royal family, which only intensified the rift.

An insider shared, “This eviction surely spells the end of Harry and Meghan’s time in the UK.”

In June 2023, Harry and Meghan officially vacated Frogmore Cottage, which was subsequently given to Prince Andrew.

They took with them several items, including gifts from the late Queen Elizabeth II, according to Vogue.

NEW BEGINNINGS

Despite having an official residence in Windsor, Harry and Meghan had rarely stayed there, choosing to live in California instead.

The new home in Portugal opens up possibilities for Meghan, who may consider applying for a Golden Visa.

This visa would grant her access to the 26 Schengen countries in Europe. These include popular destinations like Italy, Spain, and Greece.

PRINCE HARRY, MEGHAN AND PORTUGAL

As she and Harry explore their new surroundings, they seem to have developed a fondness for Portugal.

The couple reportedly enjoyed a romantic getaway there last summer, spending three nights in the country.

The parents of two—five-year-old Prince Archie and three-year-old Princess Lilibet—are currently based full-time in their Montecito estate.

DESIRE FOR PRIVACY

They have adapted to life away from royal obligations but continue to make news, whether it’s through philanthropic efforts or personal adventures.

Their recent travels to Portugal highlight their desire for privacy and new experiences, away from the public eye in the UK.

Despite their move, Harry’s relationship with his family remains strained.

RECONNECTING WITH FAMILY

The ongoing estrangement has left many wondering if Harry will take the opportunity to reconnect with relatives during visits to Europe.

Reports indicate that Harry and his brother, Prince William, maintained their distance during their uncle Lord Robert Fellowes’ funeral in Norfolk earlier this year.

“Family ties have changed dramatically,” a royal expert commented. “The rift seems far from healed.”

As the couple settles into their new Portuguese home, it’s clear they are embracing life outside the royal spotlight.

PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN’S MUCH-NEEDED RETREAT

The picturesque landscapes of Portugal could offer them a much-needed retreat from the pressures they faced in the UK.

“Harry and Meghan seem to find solace in places where they can be themselves,” a source shared.

Harry and Meghan are carving out their own path. They have faced challenges, yet they continue to thrive, embracing opportunities that allow them to grow as individuals and as a family.

A FRESH START

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s acquisition of a European vacation home signifies a fresh start.

As they navigate their new life in Portugal, they remain focused on family, privacy, and their individual identities.

With all eyes on them, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex continue to capture public interest, and their journey is far from over.
