Linkin Park is back. The iconic rock band has confirmed their return, marking a significant moment in music history.

LINKIN PARK RETURNS!

After years of silence following the tragic passing of Chester Bennington in 2017, the band has re-emerged with new energy, a fresh line-up, and exciting plans.

During a special livestream on 5 September, the band unveiled details of their forthcoming album, From Zero, and an international tour, according to Music Week.

South African fans will be particularly thrilled by this news, as it reignites the passion for one of the most influential bands of the 21st century.

LINKIN PARK’S NEW LINE-UP

The current line-up of Linkin Park still includes original members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, and Joe Hahn.

There are two new additions: Emily Armstrong, co-vocalist from the band Dead Sara, and Colin Brittain, a talented drummer known for his work with G Flip and One OK Rock.

Notably, founding drummer Rob Bourdon has not returned, according to Billboard.

MIKE SPEAKS ON LINKIN PARK’S RETURN

Speaking about the band’s return, Mike Shinoda shared insights into how it all came together.

“We weren’t trying to restart the band. We simply wanted to reconnect as friends and musicians,” he explained.

The band’s journey over the past few years has been about rediscovering their creativity and camaraderie.

THE NEW MEMBERS

The introduction of Armstrong and Brittain has added a new dimension to the band’s sound, according to Metal Week.

“We feel really empowered with this new line-up,” said Shinoda.

“Emily and Colin have brought fresh energy and talent to the group.

We’re weaving together our signature sound while still exploring new ones.”

FROM ZERO

From Zero is set to be released on 15 November via Warner Records.

It will be Linkin Park’s first album since One More Light in 2017.

The title, From Zero, holds deep significance for the band.

Shinoda revealed that it reflects both their beginnings and their current journey.

“Before Linkin Park, our first band name was Xero.

This album title refers to that humble beginning and the journey we’re currently undertaking.”

NEW LEAD SINGLE

Fans got their first taste of the new album with the release of the lead single, “The Emptiness Machine.”

The track blends the band’s signature sound with a fresh, invigorated vibe, hinting at what’s to come.

The anticipation for this album is palpable, especially among long-time fans who have been waiting for Linkin Park’s return.

Linkin Park also announced a series of arena shows across the globe.

WORLD TOUR

The From Zero World Tour will kick off in Los Angeles on 11 September and includes stops in New York, Hamburg, London, Seoul, and Bogotá.

While no African dates have been announced yet, South African fans can keep their fingers crossed for future additions.

The excitement surrounding Linkin Park’s return is undeniable.

A NEW CHAPTER

For South African fans, the band’s re-emergence is a reminder of the powerful impact they’ve had on the global music scene.
