‘I leave it to the lord’: Nick Cannon ‘not done’ having kids
Nick Cannon, father to 12 children with six different women, has revealed he’s not done growing his family.

Nick Cannon isn’t ready to close the baby factory just yet. Despite already being a father to 12 children, the American comedian revealed he’s still open to expanding his family.
NICK CANNON AND VASECTOMIES
While some may think a vasectomy is the logical next step, Cannon has other ideas. “I’m just — I’m not done,” he said with a laugh, adding, “I leave it to the Lord.”
Cannon’s comments came during a lively discussion with podcast guests Ryan Clark and Channing Crowder. The two guests both admitted they’ve had vasectomies.
They jokingly pressed Cannon about why he hasn’t followed suit, given his already massive brood, according to People.
While he conceded that getting “snipped” might be “the responsible thing to do,” Cannon made it clear he’s not ready to take that step.
ALL THE CHILDREN
The 42-year-old entertainer has built a family that could rival a small school. His first children, twins Moroccan and Monroe, were born in 2011 with his ex-wife Mariah Carey.
Since then, Cannon has welcomed 10 more children with five different women, according to Parade.
Among them are Golden Sagon, Powerful Queen, and Rise Messiah with Brittany Bell. He also has Zion Mixolydian, Zillion Heir, and Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa.
The rapper also has Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi; Onyx Ice with LaNisha Cole; and Halo Marie with Alyssa Scott.
Tragically, Cannon also lost a son named Zen in 2021 to brain cancer when the baby was just five months old, according to Business Insider.
DESIRE FOR A LARGE FAMILY
When asked whether he plans to have more children with one of his current partners or someone new, Cannon shrugged off specifics. “I don’t know! That’s the thing,” he said. “Why not?”
For him, the decision seems less about planning and more about faith. “I leave it to the Lord,” he reiterated.
Cannon’s approach to fatherhood has drawn both admiration and criticism.
Some applaud his dedication to being an active parent despite his busy career as host of The Masked Singer and other ventures.
MANAGING THE LARGE FAMILY
Others question how he can effectively manage time and resources across such a large family.
Cannon himself acknowledges the challenges: “It’s not about time management; it’s energy management,” he said in a past interview.
But for Cannon, family is everything. He has often spoken about his love for children and his desire to create a big family.
“I come from a big family,” he once explained. “I have such a love and passion for kids and family.” He insists that he planned every child and brought them into consensual relationships.
THE CHAOS OF FATHERHOOD
His wealth allows him to provide for his children — though it’s worth noting that raising 12 kids in South Africa would cost millions of rands annually.
For now, Cannon seems content living in the moment, embracing both the joys and chaos of fatherhood.
Whether or not he reaches his self-proclaimed goal of having “a baker’s dozen” remains to be seen. One thing is certain: Nick Cannon is rewriting the rulebook on modern parenting — one baby at a time.
