Controversial internet personality and MMA fighter Andrew Tate has angered South Africans with a jab at local women.

The 38-year-old  – known for having sexist opinions and promoting “toxic masculinity” – is facing allegations of rape and human trafficking.

Andrew and his brother Tristan are also known for their support of white South African farmers.

ANDREW TATE TAKES JAB AT SOUTH AFRICAN WOMEN

On his X account, Andrew Tate tweeted to his 10 million followers: “Never trust South African women’.

The random jab from the self-proclaimed misogynist came as a surprise to many South Africans.

While Tate did not elaborate on his tweet, he did react to a tweep who posted a collage of South African celebrity women, including Faith Nketsi, Minnie Dlamini, Cyan Boujee, and Mihlali Ndamase.

The 38-year-old responded with several laughing-face emojis.

Earlier in the day, Andrew Tate made a joke about allegations of human trafficking filed against him.

He tweeted: “I am sick and tired of every hot girl in the world coming up to me begging to be human trafficked. I HAVE RETIRED!”

Earlier this month, Andrew and Tristan left Romania for the US after their travel ban was lifted. They arrived in Florida to an active criminal investigation.

Speaking to US media, Andrew Tate said of their notoriety: “I think my brother and I are largely misunderstood. There’s a lot of opinions about us – all the things that go around about us on the internet”

He added: “It’s supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, as my brother and I are.”

CLAPBACKS FROM MZANSI

Needless to say, Andrew Tate became a trending topic on X in South Africa.

Many local X personalities – including notorious troll Chris Excel – clapped back at Tate’s remarks with equally insulting jabs. Others brought up his concerning comments and actions against women.
