All Blacks winger Mark Telea – whose father is half South African – has learned a typical Mzansi-style greeting ahead of his second clash with the Springboks this weekend.

Interestingly, the New Zealand-born player, the son of a Samoan mother and a Johannesburg father, qualifies for three different nationalities.

MARK TELEA LEARNS SOUTH AFRICAN GREETING

In a clip posted on SuperSport Rugby, Mark Telea was taught a typical South African greeting via a handshake.

“You do double clicks,” the amused All Blacks said in the entertaining clip.

In another clip, Mark revealed that it was “good to be back in South Africa.”

“Just seeing the culture and how people are living and an insight into the lifestyle is mean.”

Of his trip to visit Table Mountain, he said: “I don’t get to wake up to this [in New Zealand] We got to see it from a higher view, and it was unreal”.

EXPLORING MZANSI

In an Instagram post, Mark Telea revealed that he and his All Blacks teammates had explored Johannesburg from a bird’s eye view, via a helicopter ride.

The 27-year-old player liked comments that read: “Welcome home, son of the soil” and “Enjoy South Africa.”

Speaking to the media ahead of last week’s Springboks vs All Blacks clash in Ellis Park,  Mark Telea revealed more about his heritage. This included a Johannesburg-based father and a Samoan mother in Auckland, New Zealand.

He said, “Every country has its own culture, so just embrace it. I’m a South African. I’m half South African.”
