It was a proud moment for South African rugby supporters when former Springboks captains John Smit, Francois Pienaar, and the respective squads joined Siya Kolisi and the team for a rendition of the national anthem.
And the cherry on the top was the beautiful vocals of the Ndlovu Youth Choir.
SA beat Argentina 22-21 at Emirates Airline Park (formerly Ellis Park) on Saturday, 29 July.

SPRINGBOKS OLD BOYS MAKE AN APPEARANCE
Joining the 2023 Springboks squad were former Rugby World Cup-winning captains and their Springboks team members, who made a surprise appearance on the pitch.
Francois Pienaar and John Smit – who led their teams to victory in 1995 and 2007, respectively – proudly belted out the national anthem beside Siya Kolisi.
On the sidelines were retired star players like Bobby Skinstad, Bryan Habana, and Percy Montgomery.

NDLOVU YOUTH CHOIR BLEW AWAY SA WITH NATIONAL ANTHEM
And while the former Springboks players were a nice touch, the real stars of the night were the Ndlovu Youth Choir.

The SA performers – who had America’s Got Talent Simon Cowell in tears back in 2019 – performed the national anthem at the Boks’ final match on SA soil for the year.
