Social media star Lasizwe Dambuza announced that he checked into a mental health facility today (23 November).
LASIZWE DAMBUZA CHECKS INTO MENTAL HEALTH FACILITY
Lasizwe revealed that he has been depressed for the past few months. The social media sensation says he wants to fight his depression one on one so he checked himself into a mental health facility.
The Drink or Tell the Truth host posted a video of himself at the facility — which shows two single beds, luggage and two pairs of shoes. Lasizwe smiles and says “period” at the end of the clip.
“One thing about me, I am not shy to express how I feel. I have checked myself into a mental health wellness facility. I haven’t been okay for the past months.
Lasizwe said that he is taking a break to deal with his depression.
I have been so depressed. I have decided to fight this by taking a break and dealing with this one on one,” the post was captioned.
Celebrities, influencers and fans jumped in the comments section to wish him well.
“You got this,” wrote his sister, actress Khanyi Mbau.

SOCIAL MEDIA CLEANSE
Lasizwe is taking a social media break while at the mental health wellness facility. His team will be running his social media accounts in the interim because he has contractual obligations to fulfill as an influencer.
“Due to Lasizwe being off the socials – his page and posts will be managed by his team within this period because of contractual obligations that have to be adhered to. Kindly keep him in your prayers during this tough time,” read a post on his Instagram story.
