‘I have five more’: A look at Black Coffee’s children and baby mamas
Fans are intrigued by Black Coffee’s remarks that he has ‘five more kids’ after he brought firstborn son Esona to the Grammys on Sunday.
Black Coffee was the picture of a doting dad after he took his firstborn son Esona Maphumulo as his “plus one” to the Grammys on Sunday night.
And what an experience it turned out to be for his son; Esona witnessed his dad scoop his first Grammy award for his album Subconsciously. He later dedicated his win to his children in a heartfelt social media post.
But what had fans intrigued was Black Coffee’s revelation that he had “five more kids” whom he hoped would also one day witness their father’s success on a world stage.
But who exactly are his other children and who are their mothers? Here is what we know about Black Coffee’s brood.
BLACK COFFEE’S SONS ESONA, LILITHA, ASANTE AND ANESU
Esona is Black Coffee’s eldest son and also in the entertainment industry as a budding artist.
Whilst the identity of his mother is unknown, Esona has posted pics of her at his 21st birthday celebration in 2020.
Black Coffee told TshisaLive that he was his first child when he was young and unemployed. He said: “I was only 23 when he was born…even though all the odds were against me…being a student and no job this was one of the happiest days of my life.
“His mother named him Esona Sinokuhle, his grandmother named him Mava, his unofficial name that I gave him was Mcebo for he became my motivation and the reason I woke up and chased all of my dreams I definitely didn’t want him to grow up like I did”.
Not much is known about the DJ’s second son Lilitha nor his mother.
Asante and Anesu are Black Coffee’s sons with ex-wife Enhle Mbali. The couple called time on their eight-year marriage in 2019 after allegations of infidelity and abuse.
WHO ARE THE OTHER TWO?
According to City Press, Black Coffee allegedly fathered two children out of wedlock with two separate women, whilst married to Enhle Mbali
In an interview with the publication, the DJ neither confirmed nor denied the rumours. However, the muso did claim that Enhle filed for divorce first.
In 2020, a woman claiming to be the mother of Black Coffee’s daughter spilled the tea on a red hot alleged affair with the muso, reports Zalebs.
Mimi Buthelezi claims that she had a sexual relationship with the DJ whilst he was married to Enhle, resulting in the birth of their daughter.
The woman spoke at length in an exclusive interview to a YouTube celebrity blogger Ndivhu T.
The identity of the other woman remains unknown.
