France going down in flames? South Africans believe the Springboks can repeat history by knocking out the Rugby World Cup hosts.
South Africans are confident the Springboks can repeat history by knocking out the Rugby World Cup hosts – France – who they will take on in a quarter-final match next week.
The national team progressed to the next stage of the competition after Irelan beat Scotland in a Pool B decider match on Saturday, 7 October.
In 2019, the Boks knocked out Japan on home turf. They went on to win the World Cup.

REPEATING HISTORY? FANS ARE CONFIDENT
Despite being the reigning Rugby World Cup champions, the Springboks are considered at a disadvantage for facing the hosts, France, in a quarter-final match next week.
There’s also the fact that the boys in blue are a strong team, having not lost a single game in the competition.
But SA rugby fans are confident that the Boks can repeat what they did in 2019.

On 20 October 2019, the host country, Japan was booted out of the World Cup by the Springboks in a quarter-final game.
The Brave Blossoms were beaten 26-3 by the Boks, who later lifted the Webb Ellis trophy.
One rugby fan tweeted: “We eliminated Japan in their home ground. Nothing will stop us from kicking the hosts off the tournament”.
Another added: “We will do it again with the host France.”

SPRINGBOKS VS FRANCE: WHERE, WHEN AND WHAT TIME
Springboks will take on France on Sunday, 15 October, at the Stade De France.
The match will be broadcast at 21:00 SA time.
