‘SIPHESIHLE NDABA IS A BRILLIANT ACTRESS’

Sources from Gomora revealed to Zimoja that Gomora producers did not renew actress Siphesihle Ndaba’s contract as a hijacker Mazet because her character “lacked excitement”. Insiders added that fans are seeing her for the last time this February.

“Don’t take me wrong, she is a brilliant actress, but she lacked something for the show”.

Another source revealed that the telenovela’s scriptwriters revealed she lacked enthusiasm and no longer had the energy she came in with in season one.

“When she joined the show, she won the hearts of the viewers with her enthralling performances as Mazet, but she no longer has that thing.”

It is reported nothing changed even when they changed her wardrobe and put her in a relationship in season three.

“They put her in a relationship but there was no range of emotions, and this was the last option.”

ACTORS WHO EXITED ‘GOMORA’

The popular actress Siphesihle Ndaba, who plays the role of Mazet is the fifth star to exit the telenovela after Israel Matseke-Zulu who played Don, Zolisa Xaluva who played Melusi, Ama Qamata who played Buhle and Buki Keva who played Asanda.

Kings of Joburg star Zolisa Xaluva revealed to TshisaLive in April 2022 that he left because of his tight schedule, and there’s no bad blood between him and the producers of the show.

Close friends of actress Buki Keva, who was known for her role as Asanda at Gomora High told City Press that production fired her via WhatsApp after she missed a shoot on set.

Ama Qamata, who played the character of Buhle Ndaba for two years bid farewell to the show on her social media… The actress took a break twice from the Mzansi Magic telenovela as she was shooting Blood and Water.

Drum reports that award-winning actor Israel Matseke-Zulu, who played Don in season two asked to be written off the show to deal with a medical issue.

“It is true that I have been diagnosed with a disease, which severely affected the functioning of my legs making difficult for me to walk properly and function well on set during the filming. It also makes it difficult for me to perform as an artist or throw in those Ghetto Professors’ dance moves that you know me for when invited to gigs. The growing demands of my job at Gomora made it difficult for me to give my all to the show due to this illness that effectively rendered me semi-crippled.”
