Record of the Year… One of the biggest awards up for grabs at the 64th annual Grammy Awards. The awards are set to take place on Sunday 3 April at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Take a look at the 10 artists nominated for Record of the Year.

1. SILK SONIC – ‘LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN’

Silk Sonic, made up of Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak caught the world’s attention with their debut single, Leave the Door Open. The song made the top 10 in several countries including Belgium, Chile, Portugal and Singapore.

2. OLIVIA RODRIGO – ‘DRIVERS LICENSE’

Olivia Rodrigo rose to fame after bagging a role in Disney’s High School Musical: The Series. Her debut single, Drivers License, peaked at number one in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Denmark.

3. LIL NAS X – ‘MONTERO (CALL ME BY YOUR NAME)’

Montero (Call Me By Your Name) is one of Lil Nas X’s most popular songs. The track’s music video caused quite a stir in 2021 but it receive praise for its LGBTQI+ representation. The track served as Lil Nas X’s lead single for his debut album, Montero.

4. BILLIE EILISH – ‘HAPPIER THAN EVER’

Billie Eilish’s Happier Than Ever was her sixth single released from her album of the same name. The song is nominated for four Grammys including Song of the Year, Best Music Video and Best Pop Solo Performance.

5. DOJA CAT FEATURING SZA – ‘KISS ME MORE’

This year, Doja Cat is up for eight Grammy Awards. Her single, Kiss Me More, featuring R&B songstress SZA, was one of her most prominent releases of 2021. The single forms part of her third studio album, Planet Her

6. JUSTIN BIEBER FEATURING DANIEL CEASER AND GIVEON – ‘PEACHES’

Justin Bieber’s upbeat track, Peaches, had quite the impact in 2021. The single is nominated for four Grammys this year including Best Music Video and Song of the Year.

7. JON BATISTE – ‘FREEDOM’

Jon Batiste is this year’s most-nominated artist with 11 nods. His single Freedom, landed on Barack Obama’s favourite songs of 2021. Batiste’s single is an ode to his hometown, New Orleans.

8. BRANDI CARLILE – ‘RIGHT ON TIME’

Right On Time is the lead single from Brandi Carlile’s seventh studio album, In These Silent Days. The single is nominated for three awards including Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.

9. TONY BENNETT AND LADY GAGA – ‘I GET A KICK OUT OF YOU’

Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga’s duet of the Cole Porter classic, I Get A Kick Out Of You is nothing short of amazing. The song forms part of their second studio album together, Love For Sale

10. ABBA – ‘I STILL HAVE FAITH IN YOU’

Swedish supergroup, ABBA reconnected in 2021 for their first album together in 40 years! I Still Have Faith In You was released as a dual lead single with Don’t Shut Me Down in September 2021.
