United States comedian Kevin Hart reveals why he chose to promote his comedy film ‘Die Hart’ in South Africa.
Actor and comedian Kevin Hart, who is referred to by his South African fans as Mpho says he chose to promote his action-comedy film Die Hart in Mzansi to bring awareness to what South Africa is all about.

KEVIN HART: ‘IT’S PART OF DUTY TO PROMOTE THE MOVIE HERE’
Sowetan reports that the United States comedian Kevin Hart held a press briefing at Montecasino, Johannesburg, on Thursday afternoon to discuss his comedy film Die Hart with his South African fans.
“The name Mpho came from my first trip here. I got an amazing history lesson where I learnt about the culture and understanding not just the heritage but true understanding of the people.”
“I feel that it’s part of my duty to come here and promote this movie…so that platform is able to bring awareness of what this country is all about. I wanted to be a part of the hood story and the good conversations.”
The comedy film stars John Travolta, Nathalie Emmanuel, Josh Hartnett, Jean Reno, and many more.
Fans of the comedian can watch it worldwide from 22 February with screenings in select cinemas in South Africa via distributor Empire and via Prime Video on 24 February.

THE COMEDIAN’S ‘REALITY CHECK’ SA TOUR
The Die Hart actor Kevin Hart is set to perform his Reality Check stand-up show in Pretoria on 17 and 18 February at the SunBet Arena, Times Square. News24 reports that tickets purchased from anywhere else other than Ticketmaster will be rejected.
He just finalised his Cape Town show on Wednesday, 15 February at the GrandWest Arena, GrandWest. Big Concerts website reports that the event is a phone, smartwatch, and recording a device-free show.
“Use of phones, smartwatches, and accessories will not be permitted in the performance space. Guests maintain possession of their devices at all times and can access them throughout the event only in designated Phone Use Areas within the venue. Before returning to the performance space, all devices will be re-secured in Yondr pouches.”
