JDR Stars ‘benefit’ from Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns
GladAfrica Championship side JDR Stars have announced they have signed two youngsters from Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.

GladAfrica Championship side JDR Stars have announced they have signed two youngsters from Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.

The club announced Azola Tshobeni from Pirates as their player for the 2021-22 season on a loan deal.
Tshobeni is a central midfielder, and he had been expected to remain at Pirates for the current campaign but this will not be the case.

JDR also confirmed acquiring the services of Malebogo Modise on a season-long deal from the Brazilians.
Modise has been a professional since his promotion from the Sundowns academy in 2019 but he hasn’t seen enough game time at the club.

He is a left-back, and the presence of players such as Lyle Lakay among others at Sundowns meant his chances of playing regularly were non-existent.
