Saleng: Has the Pirates winger signed a pre-contract elsewhere?
Saleng has been with Pirates for two-and-a-half-years, and has scored 27 goals in 103 competitive matches since making his debut in 2022.

Orlando Pirates winger Monnapule Saleng continues to hog the headlines as his future with the club remains uncertain.
Earlier this week, reports of Pirates triggering a two-year option they had on Saleng’s contract surfaced.
His current deal is set to expire in June, and with the latest developments, Saleng was set to stay at Pirates for two more years.
This despite the fact that the disgruntled attacker has not been playing for the Buccaneers in recent months.
Saleng last featured for Pirates in early December against Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League.
Now, according to sources known to Sportswire, the 26-year-old may have played his final game for Pirates.
Furthermore, the publication claims that the left-footed attacker is most certainly leaving Pirates after having discovered that he has already signed a pre-contract elsewhere.
In addition, it is reported that the Saleng saga which has seen him frozen out stems from the fact that he does not want to sign a contract extension with Pirates.
And this is believed to be due to the salary dispute between the two parties. Saleng is reported to be earning below R100 000 per month at Pirates.

HAS SALENG SIGNED A PRE-CONTRACT WITH ANOTHER PSL CLUB?
“The dispute between Saleng and Pirates reportedly stems from his refusal to sign a contract extension, as he believes the club’s offer does not reflect his market value. His current salary is reportedly less than R100,000 per month,” reads part of the report.
“Consequently, Sportswire’s sources claim that Saleng has signed a pre-contract with another club, solidifying his impending departure.”
