Kelly Khumalo and Arthur Mafokate have duped fans into believing they were in a romance after releasing their love track, Ngeke, over the weekend.
The duo hosted a private party amongst VIP fans, many of whom believed they were attending an engagement party.
KELLY KHUMALO AND ARTHUR MAFOKATE RELEASE LOVE SONG
On Sunday, 2 March, Kelly Khumalo and Arthur Mafokate released their ballad Ngeke.
The duo also released the music video for the single, which features the music industry veterans holding hands in a picturesque outdoor location.
Kelly and Arthur donned all-red ensembles and entertained the intimate crowd of 100 guests as they performed the long song for the first time.
Arthur posted on his Instagram feed: “When God is in charge, nothing can stop what people demand!… We are very grateful for the support you’ve given us, and we love you.”
In another post, he shared a picture of him embracing Kelly Khumalo with the caption, “Love is beautiful.”
In the comments section, followers revealed that they had predicted that Kelly and Arthur’s romance storyline was just a PR gimmick for a music release.
DUPING FANS AGAIN
It wouldn’t be the first time that Kelly Khumalo has duped fans into believing she is romancing a man.
In 2018, Kelly and rapper Chad da Don posted pics of their romance, which was initially a teaser for her music video, Dance Comigo. The “couple” reportedly dated on and off for a year before splitting.
Over a decade ago, Kelly musically collaborated with Arthur in the love song Nguye Lo.
And like they’ve done this time, the duo teased rumours of a romance after they got “married” in a music video for the single.
